Freight Estimates:
NEWOOD will make every effort possible to supply a freight estimate. However, freight costs change daily. NEWOOD can supply the freight estimate based on current freight rates. If you feel you can receive a better rate from a career that your normally use, we can supply the weights and the cubic dimension of the order, so that you can receive a freight estimate from the company you normally use. In order for us to supply you with a freight estimate, we will need to know details including the location environment such as floor level, size of door openings, mail restrictions, etc. We will also need to know which specific delivery method is needed:

          A)  Standard Service: The freight company will bring the fixtures to your address, and you
                will be responsible for bringing the product off of the truck and into your store. In most
                cases, you will need additional labor.

          B)  Ground Service: The freight company will bring the fixtures to your address, and they will
                be responsible for getting the fixtures off of the truck and onto the sidewalk. This service
                usually requires additional costs for a pallet jack and a lift gate. This service does not
                include bringing your fixtures into the store.

          C)  Inside Delivery: The freight company will bring the fixtures to your address, and will bring
                them into the store. This service usually requires additional costs for additional
                personnel from the freight company. This service does not include installing the fixtures,
                or removal of boxing.

Installation:
You are responsible for the assembly of the fixtures. Most items in the catalog ship KD (knock down). Some items such as the cash wraps are assembled but may need to be installed by a contractor (for example, a local electrician may need to be hired). Most fixtures do not require special tools or contractor skills to be assembled. Assembly instructions are included with each shipment. For larger projects, supervisory personnel may be available on a fee basis. Please call for a specific estimate for your project.

Freight Claims:
You are responsible for inspecting the condition of the product before the driver leaves. If you sign off on the bill without inspecting each carton, you may not be eligible for product replacement. Please note any possible damage to the cartons or to the product on the bill of lading then call the freight carrier for an inspection right away. The freight inspector will need to see all of the packaging as part of the inspection process, do don't discard any boxes, packaging or crating. NEWOOD uses packaging methods approved by the freight companies, and cannot be held responsible for damage after it leaves our facility.
