Store Installations:  New Leaf Community Market

"I think I have been admiring NEWOOD fixtures for close to twenty years. Like many retailers (especially in the food business), the key to making money often has to do with your ability to save it. I hemmed and hawed about putting NEWOOD fixtures into my store, but hesitated because of the cost in comparison to other fixtures. What a mistake. I finally wised up on my third set of fixtures. Talk about throwing money away. I would have saved a bundle if I just bought quality from the beginning. I no longer believe that I get what I pay for. I believe that if I pay a little extra for quality, I will be truly satisfied with the look, function and durability of the equipment; but, if I try to save a few bucks and buy cheaper quality, I get ripped off. The cheaper equipment hasn’t been worth half what I paid for it. As a result of my experience, I have come to realize NEWOOD is the real bargain. They are beautiful, strong, easy to assemble and adjust. Furthermore, it was a pleasure working with the company. They helped walk me through the idea stage and made sure I was ordering the right equipment for the job. I love the fact that the same person who was my "sales rep" also happens to be the main person who answers the phone whenever I call!

So far, I have given one of the stores a facelift, focusing on replacing all the shelving. The change included using NEWOOD fixtures as the primary accent piece, for wine, candy, bread, tea, housewares, end caps and in front of the meat department. The results have been phenomenal. Sales are up about 20% over last year. Traditionally, I am used to about a 5% growth. I would like to give the credit to some other aspect of operations, but then that would not explain why sales have improved so dramatically in this one store and not the others. I am so pleased, we are going to order more merchandisers for the checkstands to the store we just fixed up and are working on fixing up two other stores. And you can be sure I will be ordering more NEWOOD fixtures."
